O Ri Chiraiya Lyrics

O Ri Chiraiya
Nanhi si chidhiya
Aangana mein fir aaja reee

O Ri Chiraiya
Nanhi si chidhiya
Aangana mein fir aaja reee

Andhiyara hai ghana
Aur Lahu se sana
Kirno ke tinke
Amber se chun ke
Aangana mein fir aaja reee

Humne tujh pe hazaron sitam hai kiye
Humne tujh pe zaha bhar ke Julm kiye
Humne socha nahi
Tu jo uud Jayegi
Yeh zameen tere bin
Suni reh jayegi
Kis ke dum pe sajega mera aangna

O Ri Chiraiya
Meri chiraiya
Aangana mein fir aaja reee

Tere pankhon mein saare sitare jadu
Teri Chunar thanak satrangi bunu
Tere kajal me mein
Kali raina bharu
Teri Mehndi me mein
Kachi dhoop malu
Tere naino saja du naya sapnaaa

O Ri Chiraiya
Meri chiraiya
Aangana mein fir aaja reee

O Ri Chiraiya
nanhi si chidhiya
Aangana mein fir aaja reee

O Ri Chiraiya..

"Sirf hangama khada karna mera maksat nahi
Meri khosish hai ki yeh surat badalni chayie
Mere seene mein nahi tho tere seene mein sahi
ho kahin bhi aag, aag jalni chayie"

O Ri Chiraiya

A beautiful, heart touching song! (I will update the lyrics very soon)

I got this from the official website

This is from the "about me" section of  http://www.satyamevjayate.in

It says 'Satyamev Jayate is a window. Open it. Look out, and you might find you're looking in'

I think this phrase just summed up what the whole show is all about!
All it's trying to say is look at yourself and your own life, people and country first and try and improve it! It's saying that you are still not aware of yourself and the place you live in! We don't have a clue what's going on around us, there's so much to see, understand and take the right actions on them.

1st Episode 06-05-2012 Highlights

"Sirf hangama khada karna mera maksat nahi
Meri khosish hai ki yeh surat badalni chayie
Mere seene mein nahi tho tere seene mein sahi

Just love this shayri, or whatever u call it!

Then he goes on to say that a Mother is really important and gives beautiful examples from two religion on mother!
Hinduism: has many godesses e.g. Maa durga, Maa swarswati etc
Islam (this one is my fav): If there's a heaven on earth, it is beneath our mother's feet!! :')

He says a mother lays down - with no conditions and is not selfish. Basically she doesn't look for her own pleasures etc while raising us up. She gives birth to us,
She sleeps in wet side of the bed and lets us sleep on the dry side. She stays hungry but makes sure that we are full! "seene se laga kar hame bada karti hai". this world cannot function without a woman, a mother!
Awesome! I got up and gave my mum a kiss on the cheek loool :P

Then the show went on talking about mothers who are forced to get abortion because they are pregnant with a female foetus! It's absolutely shocking to see that female foeticide is such a common thing even in the 20th century! It makes me so sad to know that even educated, rich people from high class families are doing it.
(This shows, no matter how educated you might be if your thoughts are not matured or improved you are still a failure).

I salute those mothers who struggle to save their daughters and go through all the pain. Those who don't care about their health and still go on to give birth to their daughters and takes all the scoldings from her family etc and still goes on to give her daughter the best life she can!
People need to understand in india that gender of an embryo completely depends on the male and not the women so why balme the woman for it??

Arghh Just makes me so angry, I mean it's 2012 and women are on same level as men, then why create these differences? Why do people still prefer boys over girls? (boys are stupid anyways lol :P)

Anyway It's so nice to see some parts of india working against this and changing people's mind! Oh and I forgot to talk about the doctors, Excuse me Dr who gave you this degree?? Did you not undertsand the meaning of 'SAVING LIVES' !! :@ :@
Seriously if you're a doctor and you're reading this please understand that majority of the population depends on you and if at the end of the day you're going to kill/murder babies, you might aswell join the terrorist crew??

PLEASE PEOPLE A LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY!! So stop differentiating between genders! and women who makes other other women's life hell, you didn't understand the meaning of being a woman! I am sorry but being a woman is a very fortunate thing and if you don't understand the heights of it, you're not a woman!

I don't know what else to say! I would want to help with these sort of stuff someday. Thanks to Aamir and other people who are trying to change India and other nations now! Hats off to you guys because just watching that episode, I cried from beginning till the end, I don't know how you all cope up with it seeing it in front of your eyes! :'(

Background Information and the Meaning of Satyamev Jayte

What does Satyamev Jatya mean?
Satyameva Jayte (सत्यमेव जय) is a mantra from ancient scripture Mundaka Panishad
  • It was adopted as the national motto of India
  • The emblem and words 'Satyameva Jayte' are inscribed on one side of all Indian currency
Meaning:
Trusth alone triumphs; not falsehood.
Through truth the divine path is spread out by which
the sages whose desires have been completely fulfilled,
reach where that supreme treasure of Truth residues.

Why did I make this blog?

Ok so Amir Khan came up with this brilliant new TV show and I decided to make a blog on it! So sad Satyamevjayte.blogspot has already been taken by someone and I checked the person hasn't posted anything lol (what a waste!) :(

I just think this show is ABSOLUTELY awesome and I want to just write about it, also give my views and maybe this blog could get across to people who perhaps don't watch TV! (majority of the indian teens don't because they think the shows are all about "saas and bahu" drama.) :\

If this Blog changes even one person, it will be worth it! People can't just rely on other people and keep on complaining that India is like that or this! One has to stand up and create changes (even if it's as little as picking up litter from the roads)! I mean C'mon!! It's about time now!! If we are not going to get together, we will NEVER succeed.

I am just going to point out the main things I like in every Episodes and I would like your views on it, So do drop a comment if you ever pass by :)
